Mt. Popa: Mt. Popa is famous for a small mountain with nat-shrines at the foot of the distinct volcano of Mt. Popa. This tour takes you to the very top of the volcano. The volcano is a national park and all around the base of the mountain are plantations with different types of trees. The path is steep, un-even and leads through different kinds of forests, up to the summit of the volcano.

DAY 1: Bagan - Popa Trek

Breakfast. Drive out of Bagan through Chauk, where you will see old Burma Oil installations ('nodding donkeys'), and along the banks of the Ayeyarwady River. Continue to Payathonzu, a complex of three brick shrines with mural paintings, see Man Paya - a large lacquer Buddha image, Arrival in Salay and visit of Yokesone Monastery, which is the oldest surviving wooden monastery hall built on 154 teak posts with beautiful wood carvings decorating the outer walls. From Salay continue your drive to Mount Popa. Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon, visit Mount Popa, home to Myanmar's intriguing 'nats' (spirits).accommodation at hotel. Free at leisure at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
