Nam Lang: The Nam Lang River journey is an incredible combination of white water rafting, scenery, serene villages, and truly quiet and introspective evenings in our private camps. This river journey combines the thrill of Class 3 and 4 white water through thickly forested canyons, with a closer insight into a people and way of life unchanged for centuries. Start the journey by trekking from Upper Sangaung to our riverside private camps, which lies close to the first river canyon.

DAY 1: Arrival Yangon

Arrival in Yangon. Transfer to Hotel. Free at leisure. Accommodation at Hotel.

DAY 2: Arrival Putao

Arrive Putao. Check in at "Malikha Lodge" before lunch. Leisure time at afternoon in the grounds of beautiful wilderness lodge.

DAY 3: Trek to Upper Sangaung

Breakfast at the lodge. Trek from Upper Sangaung to riverside camp which lies near to the first river canyon. An hour drive from Malikha Lodge to Nam Lang Valley; Trek through the valley and camp in our riverside private camps.

DAY 4: First Day Rafting

First day rafting. Two hours after passing by the remote Lisu village of Nam Ze. Raft down to final beach camp which lies at the beginning of the second canyon.

DAY 5: Second Day Rafting

Second day rafting is the final and most challenging one. Encounter three exciting and technical rapids which ends with a bang in a series of drops between massive boulders; succession in a tight bedrock canyon. Three hours rafting and leisurely cruising back to "Malikha Lodge".

DAY 6: Putao – Yangon

After a final leisurely breakfast at Malikha Lodge, check out and late morning transfer to Putao airport. Arrive back to Yangon. Transfer to Hotel. Free at leisure. Accommodation at Hotel.

DAY 7: Yangon Departure

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure.
