Malikha Lodge: Far from the modern day living life style, the Malikha Lodge lies in the hidden wilderness area of eastern Himalayas. The beautiful lodge itself is the perfect introduction to a land where snow-capped mountains, subtropical jungle and forgotten hill tribes combines to form an exotic cocktail. With traditional bungalows carefully placed to recreate a sense of idyllic village life, the Malikha Lodge offers the perfect place to replenish mind, body and spirit.
Guided Activities: Accompany by informative local or foreign guides, half day (or) full day soft adventure excursions can be extended while staying at the lodge. DAY 1: Arrival Yangon

Arrival in Yangon. Transfer to Hotel. Free at leisure. Accommodation at Hotel.

DAY 2: Arrival Putao

Arrive Putao. Check in at "Malikha Lodge" before lunch. Leisure time at afternoon in the grounds of beautiful wilderness lodge. Dinner and accommodation at the lodge.

Day 5: Putao – Yangon

Check out after breakfast and flight back to Yangon Airport from Putao. Transfer to hotel in Yangon. Enjoy the sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, famous world wide - its golden stupa is the 'heart' of Buddhist Myanmar. Farewell dinner at local restaurant. Accommodation at Hotel Yangon.

DAY 6: Yangon Departure (Based on evening departure)

Breakfast at hotel. Free leisure time until departure. Transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure. Guided Activities

Malikha Cruise – Full Day An excursion combines a scenic river gorge cruise with a visit to the picturesque village of Manchanbaw. Then venture downstream by long tail boat onto the Malikha River. Picnic lunch by riverside beach inside the gorge. Return by vehicle to Malikha Lodge before sunset.

Putao Cultural Tour - Full Day

A closer look into the village society and some of the cottage industries within the remote Putao Valley. Stop at the Putao local market and visit the homes of Rawang and Lisu villages Lunch with a steaming bowl of Shan noodle soup. Back to the lodge in the afternoon.
In the late afternoon, a short trek up into the forested hills behind our lodge with special option of an hour trek by elephant through terraced fields and pockets of jungle with sweeping views back over the whole Putao Valley.

Trek and Raft Adventure – Half Day

Trek up into the forested hills behind our lodge with special option of an hour trek by elephant. Descend into the Nam Lang Valley a few miles upstream from the lodge. With kayaks through the occasional gentle rapids back to the lodge on the clear and fast flowing waters of the Nam Lang River.

Yegyawdi village and mountain trek – Half Day

Starts with an early trek in the morning, takes over the Nam Lang River and up through the terraced rice fields to the village of Yegyawdi opposite our lodge. Then follow an ancient hunting path up into the dense forested hills behind the village.. After resting in the cool mountain air with drinks and light refreshments, we descend back through the jungle in time for lunch.
